5 Weeks Old!

Happy Birthday Puppies! They are 5 weeks old today!

Lots of fun here at the Heidbreder Kennel! haha. The puppies are really showing their personalities. Bodie, the yellow male that will live with the Kipke family is the explorer
. We found him in Maggie's food bowl, so I guess it is time to feed them puppy chow! He's tripled in size since the day he was born and is one of the biggest in the bunch so far. They are still small enough to fit inside my nephew Grayson's size 12 shoes! We let Cocoa try one on for size. We caught Kit Kat in a slumber,

Maybe the first signs of sleep apnea? haha They are partially paper trained already. We have to chase them around a little bit, but they look for the paper and know what to do. The yellow girl has a real name now! Her new mommy, Nicole has named her Millie. This little sweetie loves to sit on your feet and play in Hannah's hair. She's pictured with my sister Denise all relaxed.

Cocoa, one of the chocolate girls will also have a new home. Hannah's teacher, Jennifer Marlatt is welcoming her into their family. So far, they are kicking the name "Chloe" around. Awww. How cute! Little Cocoa (Chloe) came to school with me Monday and fell asleep on the desk with the kids in Hannah's class. Nephew Dallas did a good job putting her to sleep and she snoozed right through our TV practice. Good Girl.

Little Snoopy will go to the Betz family. I am, not sure what his name will be, but he is a real Lady's Man. He knows who to butter up to to get what he wants. What a schmoozer.

Pepsi and Ruby the runt love to follow me around the kitchen. They don't let me out of their sight. Can't resist their grey-blue eyes. And they have found out that they can bark! It is so funny to see that they are startled from the sound that comes out of their mouths.

Kit Kat is just about the same size as Bodie, but she is a square faced chocolate girl. She likes to follow the other pups and then tackle them. Very funny to watch this gentle sweet heart. The 8th one is ours. We finally figured out her name. Hannah decided on Daisey. Yep! Perfect.

The puppies will get their shots next week and can be sent to their new homes any time after that. Just be sure you send pictures often! Enjoy the video

Kipke's visit their puppy

What a sweet visit. One of the families that will be adopting one of Maggie's puppies came for a visit yesterday. Bodie's new family will be the Kipke's. He had such an exciting morning, that he fell asleep in their arms after he licked his puppy breath all over their faces. Later that night at the dinner table, the kids were sharing their favorite parts of their day. Hannah's favorite part of the day was to see this family's face as they loved on their new puppy. Very sweet.

3 Weeks

Here are even more crazy puppy pictures. At 3 weeks old, they are just starting to walk, opening their eyes and finding out that they have a bark!

Puppies 4 weeks old!

The puppies can run around and even like to tumble with each other. We've had lots of visitors. The chocolate boy puppy likes to howl! We think it is pretty funny because he gets the rest of the gang going. A typical BETZ!! (That is the family that will be taking him home)

Our yellow boy has been sold. His name will be Bodie Kipke. The first born, the golden girl is spoken for. Her name will be Millie Vanillee. And of course, we are keeping a little blonde girl to keep Maggie company. We haven't named her yet.

Enjoy our pictures! Only a couple more weeks and they can go to their new homes!
